What are the uses of Hastelloy C22 Sheets?

Hastelloy C22 sheets and Hastelloy C22 plates are among the most preferred materials for solving corrosion-related problems. Hastelloy C22 is a high-temperature alloy with good mechanical properties. It is suitable for heat exchangers, oil and gas processing equipment components, pollution control systems, and nuclear fuel reprocessing components. Its superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking will prevent cracks in areas subjected to dynamic stresses. Hastelloy C22 offers excellent performance when exposed to oxidizing media at elevated temperatures or in reducing environments at room temperature. It also provides nonmagnetic qualities, which makes Hastelloy C22 ideal for uses such as ultra-high purity chemical processing plants, cable trays in offshore platforms, separator vessels in Caustic soda production facilities, etc.

What is the difference between Hastelloy C276 and C22 plates?

Hastelloy C276 and Hastelloy C22 plates are both widely used in the metalworking industry. Hastelloy C276 is known for its corrosion resistance, tensile strength and formability, while Hastelloy C22 sheets and plates are valued for their superior durability and weldability. Hastelloy C276 has a higher chromium content than Hastelloy C22, which gives it excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Meanwhile, Hastelloy C22 has a chemical composition that makes it superior to Hastelloy C276 in terms of chlorine stress corrosion cracking resistance. Both Hastelloy alloys are resistant to many acids and various types of chemicals, but overall, Hastelloy C22 has slightly greater versatility than Hastelloy C276.
